Clinical study of Roxithromycin(Rulid^(¢ç)) in respiratory tract infections





Abstract
To evaluate the. efficacy and safety of Roxithromycin in patients with respiratory infections, 20 patients with respiratory tract infections were treated with roxithromycin (150mg b.i.d).
Among 20 cases, 9 cases were pneumonia, 4 cases were bronchial asthma with infections,
3 cases were bronchiectasis with infection, 3 cases were acute bronchitis and 1 case was emphysema with infection.
The response was cure in 15 cases, partial response in 4 cases, and no response in 1 case.
There was no significant clinical and laboratory toxicity except mild nausea(1 case) and mild epigastric distress (1 case).
Roxithromycin was considered to be useful agent against respiratory tract infections.
